The distinctive Thermolier Steam-fed Unit Heaters are fan driven, hot air heating system products, which utilise heat exchange technology to transfer heat from steam to the air, keeping costs at bay.

Front louvers and careful situation of the units gives exceptionally fast warm up and practical heat control in high roofed, large spaces. Requiring little or no maintenance, this system is tough and efficient.

5 Standard horizontal airflow models are available for order online. Both single phase or 3 phase power supply models available. If you require variation from the standard i.e. vertical down-flow models or flameproof motors please contact our sales team who will be happy to help.

Heat Outputs (kW) in drop-down below are based on 3 Bar of Steam pressure and entering air temperature of 20C.

Due to demand, lead times for the Thermolier Unit heater are currently 4-6 weeks. Please order at your earliest convenience.

Technical Specifications

Design and Installation

Ensure no equipmentĀ is installed in aĀ position that will obstructĀ the airflow from the unit. Even small bore pipe will cause turbulence in the air leaving the Unit and will prevent the unit delivering its full output into the occupied zone. The air intake should also be unobstructed.

Hangers must beĀ fixed to both the unitĀ the wall, truss or column.Ā Ensure the hangers will allowĀ the unit to move when theĀ pipework expands.

The fanguardĀ should be undamaged andĀ securely fixed in the correctĀ position.

Where the unit is fitted intoĀ ductwork a fan guard is notĀ required. Check that theĀ ductwork has provision forĀ access to the motor and heaterĀ battery for annual Ā inspectionĀ and maintenance. A shortĀ length of soft, i.e. canvasĀ ducting should be fittedĀ between the unit and ductworkĀ to stop any vibration beingĀ transmitted into the ductwork.

It is recommended that theĀ louvres are set as follows:Ā Horizontal Units; louvresĀ parallel, angled slightlyĀ downwards. DownflowĀ units; when mounted at theĀ upper recommended heightĀ each set of louvres should beĀ parallel and angled slightly outwards. When mounted atĀ the lower mounting height,Ā the outer louvres should beĀ angled outwards and the inner louvres vertical. ThisĀ gives the maximum spreadĀ for the Downflow Unit. ItĀ also applies when used as aĀ door heater.
